Sleigh All Day: Your Signature Needs a Christmas Makeover Scheduled

14 November 2026

Yes, we know. It's only mid-November. You're probably thinking, "It's far too early to be thinking about Christmas."

Then again, someone in your street has had their tree up since the start of the month, with the lights on and everything. Your colleague in accounts finished her Christmas shopping in October and will tell you about it, unprompted, at the next meeting. And the shops have been playing carols since about the time the Halloween pumpkins were still being carved.

So we're not early. We're right on schedule. Let's get this sleigh on the road.

Why bother?

Fair question. Here are some very reasonable answers.

You send a lot of email. Every message you send carries your signature along for the ride. That's a lot of tiny chances to make someone smile in the middle of a long December week.

It shows you have a personality. A bit of festive cheer tells the person on the other end that there's a real, friendly human behind the keyboard, and not just an out-of-office reply with a pulse. (We'll be honest: some of us wouldn't pass the pulse check until the Christmas break.)

It's low effort. A merry signature costs you no baking, no tinsel and no frantic gift-wrapping at 11pm on the 24th. You don't even have to climb onto the roof.

Meet the crew

We've made a whole sleigh-load of fun Christmas signature templates, and the cast is a good one.

There's a jolly Santa with a beard that has clearly seen some biscuits. There's a cheeky elf who has been working flat out since January and is slightly over it, but smiling anyway. There's a reindeer with a nose so red it could direct traffic. There's a snowman in a top hat, a gingerbread person who has no idea what's coming, a tree with an alarming number of baubles, and a very tidy pile of presents.

If you'd rather keep it classy, there's an elegant navy-and-gold card, and a clean holly wreath, for the days when your signature has to sit next to a legal threat and a spreadsheet. And for everyone in the southern hemisphere who will spend Christmas Day in thongs, there's an Aussie summer one, with a sun that has put on a Santa hat and given up on the snow.

Mix, match or give your whole team the same elf. We won't tell anyone.

Some presents for your funny bone

We couldn't help ourselves. We've been saving these up since about August, just like your neighbour with the tree. Consider them a gift. A small one. Possibly a pair of socks.

  • What do you call an elf who sings? A wrapper.
  • Why did Santa go to music school? To improve his wrap sheet. (Sorry. We're sorry.)
  • What's an elf's favourite kind of music? Wrap music.
  • What do snowmen eat for breakfast? Frosted flakes.
  • What do you get when you cross a snowman with a vampire? Frostbite.
  • Why is Santa so good at email? He always checks his list, and he checks it twice.
  • What do reindeer say before they tell a joke? "This one will sleigh you."

We'll see ourselves out. Actually, no, we won't. We have more. We have a lot more.

The part where we mention SigMonster

Here's where we get a little practical, and only a little.

If you're the one who looks after signatures at your organisation, you already know the real Christmas challenge has nothing to do with the tree. It's chasing every single person to copy, paste and fiddle with their own signature, and then discovering that Gary in accounts has somehow gone and added a fourth font. And a snowflake. Several snowflakes.

That's the kind of festive spirit we'd rather skip.

With SigMonster, you can pick a themed template, put it in place, and update everyone's signature at once across your organisation. No chasing. No copy-and-paste. No Gary. (We like Gary. We just like consistent fonts more.)

And when the holidays are done and it's time to take the decorations down, you can switch everyone back just as easily. Or keep the reindeer. We won't judge. He seems happy.

Give it a go

Christmas only comes around once a year, and it's closer than that tree in the hallway would suggest. Don't leave your signature until Christmas Eve and then spend the evening as a ghost of Christmas past.

Have a look at SigMonster's Christmas signature templates, choose the one that makes you grin the most, and give your emails a bit of festive cheer. The Christmas templates are around until early January, so there's plenty of time to keep the cheer going.

Your signature has been quietly standing there all year. It deserves a Santa hat.

Merry Christmas from all of us at SigMonster. Stay merry, stay friendly, and remember: it's never too early to be jolly.
